Derby Nursing Home To Close

DERBY, CT Birmingham Health Center is set to close its doors come June after a federal bankruptcy.

The 88 residents will be moved to other facilities within five miles, according to the Connecticut Post.

Birmingham is the third facility in the valley to close in the past few years due to financial troubles.

The resident moves are being handled by the state Department of Public Health and the Department of Social Services.
