Derby Police To Host Halloween Touch-A-Truck Event

Guests are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and enjoy face painting, crafts, food trucks and more.

DERBY, CT — The Derby Police Department will host its annual Halloween "Touch-A-Truck" event later this month, featuring fun activities for all ages.

According to the department's Facebook page, this free community event is scheduled to take place Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Derby High School, located at 75 Chatfield Street. A rain date is scheduled for Nov. 4.

Guests are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and enjoy face painting, crafts, food trucks and other activities kids can participate in, as well as construction trucks, police cars, fire trucks and other vehicles on display.

Police will also be accepting donations of unopened candy for the event at the department, located at 125 Water Street.
