The Derby Police Department has announced the launch of a newly certified drone team.
DERBY, CT — The Derby Police Department announced this week the launch of a newly certified drone team.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, police said the drone team's officers recently completed a rigorous FAA certification course and "are ready to take to the skies to enhance public safety."

"This technology gives our department a new set of eyes in the sky," police wrote on Facebook, "helping us respond faster and more efficiently while keeping our community safe."
