Derby Police Officer Receives 2023 Law Enforcement Award
A Derby police officer recently received a 2023 Law Enforcement Award for his quick actions during an incident in the spring of 2021.
DERBY, CT — A Derby police officer recently received a 2023 Law Enforcement Award for his quick actions during an incident in the spring of 2021.
In a Facebook post, Derby police announced Officer Patrick Foley received the award from the AFSCME Council 4 during an event held Wednesday night at the Aria banquet facility in Prospect.
According to police, Foley received the award for "engaging and stopping a suspect who was shooting randomly at passing vehicles on Division Street [in Derby] on April 26, 2021."
