Derby Police To Participate In Law Enforcement Torch Run
Derby police will participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics this week, and traffic may be affected.

DERBY, CT — Derby officers will participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics this week, and traffic may be affected, according to police.
According to the department's Facebook page, Derby police will receive the torch from Shelton police around 2:30 p.m. and proceed across Bridge Street, then onto Main Street (Route 34) before turning left onto Derby Avenue.
Derby police will then transfer the torch to Ansonia police at Division Street.

Drivers are asked to expect minor traffic disruptions and "give a couple honks to show support" as the torch run takes place, according to police.
