Derby Police To Swear In 4 New Officers
Four new officers will be sworn in by the Derby Police Department during a brief ceremony this week.
DERBY, CT — Four new officers will be sworn in by the Derby Police Department during a brief ceremony Wednesday night.
In a news release posted to the department's Facebook page, Deputy Police Chief Scott Todd said they recently concluded the testing process for the position of sergeant.
According to Todd, nine candidates participated in the process administered by the South Central Criminal Justice Administration, which consisted of a written promotional examination and an oral board examination.

A swearing-in ceremony for the four top scoring candidates, Holly Corilla, Kristopher Matthews, Daniel Donston and Joseph Massetti, will take place at 6 p.m. at the J.R. Payden Field House, located on Chatfield Street.
"I would like to congratulate these officers," Todd said in a news release, "and all the department members who participated in the process, for their hard work and tenacity."
