DERBY, CT — Derby is looking for volunteers to several non-elected boards and commissions, according to city officials.

Not all of these boards or commissions are necessarily looking for members, but the city always wants to have a pool of residents who are interested in serving.

"Volunteers play a very important role in our community," officials wrote in a statement. "They donate countless hours each year beautifying our neighborhoods, enriching our schools, helping our neighbors, engaging our youth, and improving the quality of life for our residents."
