City officials said the Derby Senior Center is closed Monday due to frozen pipes and the smell of gas.
DERBY, CT — The Derby Senior Center is closed Monday due to frozen pipes and the smell of gas, according to the city.
Town Clerk Marc Garofalo announced the closure in an email Monday morning around 10:30 a.m. and noted the city "[regrets] any inconvenience."
The closure was also announced on the city's Facebook page.

Located at 293 Main Street in Derby, the senior center is typically open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., according to the city's website.
A timeline for when the senior center will reopen has not been announced by the city yet.
