Derby, Shelton High School Runners Qualify for State Open

MANCHESTER, CT — Derby and Shelton high schools will each be represented at the State Open cross country championships this Friday at Wickham Park in Manchester.

At the class meets Saturday, also at Wickham Park, Derby's girls team easily won Class S, compiling 55 points to 99 for runnerup Housatonic Regional. A Red Raider boy also qualified, as did a boy from Shelton.
