Derby's Griffin Hospital Can't Escape Insulin Lawsuit: Report
Hospital employees were accused of reusing insulin pens on different patients, which could have exposed them to illnesses, lawyers say.

DERBY, CT — A lawsuit filed against Derby's Griffin Hospital over its alleged reuse of insulin pens on different patients will move forward, after a judge refused to throw it out, reports the Connecticut Post.
Judge Linda Lager ruled that the hospital will face a jury in the class action lawsuit, which represents more than 3,000 former patients.
Reusing insulin pens on different patients could have exposed these former patients to blood-borne diseases, such as HIV, according to the plaintiffs' attorney.
