Driver Injured In Rollover Crash Near Shelton Bridge: FD
Fire officials said the vehicle left the road, rolled over and struck a bridge abutment in Shelton.
SHELTON, CT — A driver was injured in a rollover crash Sunday evening in Shelton, according to the Shelton Fire Department.
In a news release posted to Facebook, fire officials said a motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported around 6:30 p.m. near Exit 11 on Route 8 northbound.
When firefighters arrived in the area, they found a single-vehicle rollover in the wooded median near the Exit 11 off ramp, fire officials said.

According to fire officials, the vehicle left the roadway, traveled through the wooded median, rolled over and came to rest after striking the South Constitution Boulevard bridge abutment.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, was able to self-extricate as crews arrived in the area, according to fire officials.

Firefighters stabilized the vehicle, ensured the scene was safe and assisted with vehicle recovery operations, fire officials said.
The driver was evaluated by Shelton EMS and taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, according to fire officials.
