Round Hill Country Dances at the Stonehouse in Stamford will be hosting some very exciting young callers and bands this month. November 9 will feature PIZZAZZ! - Audrey Knuth on fiddle and Amy Englesberg on keyboard - both of the hot band Free Raisins - teaming up with another fine fiddler, Rachel Panitch. The caller is popular NY percussionist Joe DePaolo.
These dances are open to all, lots of fun and very accessible. A short lesson at 7:30 lets new dancers get a handle on the basics, and the open dance gets underway at 8 pm. All dances are taught. Come by yourself or bring your friends - you'll find plenty of people to dance with. Refreshments are non-alcoholic. Admission $15. 203-372-3890, www.roundhill.net, www.meetup.com/roundhill-contradance/.
Special Thankgiving Dance November 30. Regular dances 2nd Saturday every month.
