UPDATE: Naugatuck Man Dies in Route 8 Accident
A motorist was killed following an accident Saturday morning on Route 8.

Update: Thomas Sulier, 31, of Naugatuck, has been identified as the man who died in the Saturday morning accident on Route 8 in Shelton, according to NBC Connecticut.
He crashed into trees on the grass between around Exit 12 and Exit 13 on the northbound side, NBC reports. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The driver’s vehicle struck a tree in the median on Route 8 northbound in Shelton, according to the Connecticut Post.
The highway was shutdown part of Saturday morning and fully opened before 11 a.m. The accident occurred before 9:30 a.m.
