Fatal Shelton Overdose Leads to Criminal Charges

Police later setup a drug buy using the victim's phone, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

SHELTON, CT — A New Haven man was federally charged after a fatal overdose occurred in Shelton on April 27. Police responded to a residence and found a 34-year-old woman deceased.

Police seized drug and non-drug evidence along with the victim's phone, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. To sign up for Shelton and Derby breaking news alerts and more, click here.
On April 28 the victim's phone got a text from Corey Senior, 26, and an officer posing as the victim arranged to purchase heroin from Senior, according to the office. Senior was arrested later that day after arriving at the victim's residence with heroin in tow.
Further investigation revealed Senior provided heroin to the victim shortly before the victim's death, according to the office.
Senior was charged with possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute narcotics.
