Fired Police Officer Returns To Duty In Shelton: Report

A police officer who was fired two years ago has returned to the Shelton Police Department following an agreement with the city.

SHELTON, CT — John Napoleone, a Shelton police officer who was fired two years ago, returned to duty Monday following an agreement with the city, the Connecticut Post reports. Chief Shawn Sequeira told the paper the city had entered into a settlement agreement with Napoleone.

According to the Connecticut Post, Napoleone was one of two officers accused of failing to properly investigate a domestic violence complaint against another police officer. Both officers were fired in 2020, as was a third officer accused of covering up their actions.
