Five Hospitalized Including 3 Officers After Shelton Fire

A woman is in serious condition after the fire. The three officers were injured while rescuing a resident.

SHELTON, CT — Three police officers and two elderly residents were hospitalized after a fire on Hill Street early Wednesday morning.

The three officers were treated for smoke inhalation after they went to rescue an occupant from the home, according to the Shelton Herald. Firefighters found another victim who was unresponsive in a bedroom.

One of the residents was reported to be in serious condition.
