Former Seymour Football Player Charged With Sex Assault
The former player was charged for an incident that is alleged to have happened more than three years ago.

SEYMOUR, CT — A former Seymour High School football player was arrested on sexual assault charges stemming from an August 2015 incident in the boy's locker room, according to police. Police allege that he sexually assaulted another teammate.
The former athlete, who is now of legal age turned himself in Monday morning after learning about a warrant for his arrest. He is being charged as a juvenile with third-degree sexual assault, third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor and second-degree reckless endangerment.
The police investigation began in May 2018 after the department was notified by the Department of Children and Families about the allegation.

No further arrests were expected and the investigation found that it was a one time incident and not part of a hazing or annual ritual.
