Former Teacher Who Tried to Kiss Student Pleads Not Guilty in Shelton

The accused resigned from his math-teaching job at Shelton High School.

A former Shelton teacher, who allegedly tried to kiss a student, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct.

According to an article on WFSB.com, George Perduta, 57, had resigned his Shelton High School job earlier in September after he was arrested.

The police records said Perduta took a then-17-year-old senior girl to dinner and afterward tried to kiss her.

He was the girl’s sophomore math teacher and mentor, WFSB.com reported.

Perduta appeared in court Tuesday with his lawyer, who said they will fight the charge.
