Free Training for Caregivers & Families of Alzheimer Patients
Certified Dementia Practitioners Presenting at CT Alzheimer's Education Conference at Mohegan Sun to provide training in Shelton on April 11
Ashely Meloy, CDP, and Theresa Waldron-Yancoskie, BA, CDP are presenting a session to help caregivers and professionals tailor their interactions to individuals along the continuum of dementia.
"Will you please help me with this?" Engage your loved one over the years, is the title of the session. They will review Dr. Hettler's 6 Dimensions of Wellness as well as Dr. Dweck's Fixed vs. Growth Mindset concepts. Information from both of these sources will be applied to help caregivers advocate for themselves in addition to the ones for whom they care to get more out of life.
They will present a preview of the session on Wednesday, April 11 in Shelton at 4pm at Benchmark at Split Rock.
