Friends of the Shelton Libraries Need Volunteers

FOTSL Need Volunteers for Book Sale at Plumb Memorial Library, Shelton, CT

Volunteers Needed: The Friends of the Shelton Libraries Fall Book Sale at Plumb Memorial Library is coming up Oct 19-23. Getting the sales room ready involves moving hundreds of boxes of books, and can only be done with the help of many volunteers. We need able-bodied volunteers who can lift boxes of books onto dollys or carts, wheel them to the sales room, and unload them. We also need people who can unpack the boxes of books and arrange them on tables or shelves. Setup starts on Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 3:00pm-8:30pm. On Wednesday, Oct. 18 set up continues starting at 10:00am and going until we’re done (how late we go varies depending on how many volunteers we have and how quickly we get the sales room ready). We also need plenty of strong hands to help move the remainder books on Monday October 23rd at 7:30 pm at the end of the sale.

If you can help, even for a couple of hours, please send an e-mail to sheltonbooksale@gmail.com with your name, phone number and what days/hours you can help, or call or visit the Plumb Memorial Library and leave your name and phone number at the main desk and someone from the sale will get back to you.
