Funeral Home Sponsors Blanket Drive To Benefit Derby Thrift Shop

DERBY, CT — The Miller-Ward Funeral Home will sponsor a new warm winter blanket, gloves and scarf drive that will benefit two nonprofits, including a Derby thrift shop.

According to a news release provided by the funeral home, the drive will benefit the Salvation Army in Ansonia and the St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Shop in Derby.

Residents are encouraged to drop off new blankets, gloves and scarves for adults and children at the funeral home, located at 260 Bank Street, between Nov. 13 and Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
