Gail F. Gluz, age 81 of New Milford, died peacefully on May 29, 2020, at
the Village Crest Health Care Center. Born in Stamford on October 9,
1938, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Emma Ahonen. Mrs.
Gluz was raised in Stamford and resided in Bridgeport and Fairfield,
before moving to New Milford in 2016. She worked as a Health Aide at
area nursing homes, until the time of her retirement. Mrs. Gluz was
passionate about caring for others, loved sitting down with a good cup
of coffee and was always there for others, no matter the circumstances.
She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Gluz of New Milford; granddaughters,
Sarah Breen Muntner and her husband, Alan of Shelton and Beth Anne
Mazur and her husband, Chris of VA, Shawn Pennywell of New Milford and
Natasha Pennywell of Bridgeport; great-grandchildren, Zakai , Tiana,
Kiana & Olivia; Madison Lesh, David Mark, Samuel Avery and Jocelyn.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by daughters, Karen
Gluz Breen and Paula Gluz; and a grandson, Connor James Breen. Funeral
services are private. The Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee
