Get Ready for Shelton Day, Oct. 5

The citywide festival and celebration is sponsored and run by the Derby/Shelton Rotary Club.

The Derby/Shelton Rotary Club is gearing up for their biggest party of the year-- Shelton Day!

The street festival features approximately 150 booths with food, crafts, interactive activities and information on local businesses. And of course, lots of entertainment.

Shelton Day started off as a small street fair that was first organized by the Shelton Business District Association in the mid-80’s. The goal was to draw people downtown to introduce them to the business community. Over the years, it has grown into a citywide festival and celebration. The event is sponsored and run by the Derby/Shelton Rotary Club.

Local restaurants, crafters, jewelers and a wide variety of vendors will set up downtown to exhibit and sell their wares. The Shelton League of Women’s Voters will also be on hand to register Shelton voters.

All proceeds from Shelton Day go back into the community through scholarships for high school students in Shelton and Derby.
