Griffin Faculty Physicians’ Cayla Daniele Named Top PA

Cayla Daniele, a certified physician assistant at Griffin Faculty Physicians OB-GYN in Derby, was recently named one of America’s Top PAs by PCON, a national organization committed to supporting nurse practitioners and physician assistants across medical specialties.

The America’s Top PA recognition is a peer-nominated award given annually to select Physician Associates across several specialties who have demonstrated leadership through increasing patient outcomes and/or through peer community support, advancement, leadership, and education.

As a caregiver with Griffin Faculty Physicians OB-GYN practice for more than five years, Daniele provides a wide range of women’s health services including annual examinations, prenatal care, contraceptive device insertions, biopsies, problem-focused visits, and consultations for hormone replacement therapy and fertility. The Trumbull resident also serves as a first assistant in the operating room for procedures including Cesarean sections, robotic and open hysterectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries.

“She is deeply committed to women’s health and providing compassionate, comprehensive care that addresses both the physical and emotional needs of her patients with professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness,” the nomination for Daniele stated.

In 2025, Daniele became CAQ-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, further demonstrating her dedication to excellence within her specialty. She is also passionate about education and mentorship. She serves as a Clinical Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Physician Assistant Program at Quinnipiac University, where she teaches Obstetrics and Gynecology to PA students and precepts students during their clinical.

Throughout her career, Daniele has remained committed to advancing the physician assistant profession. She has served in several leadership roles on the board of the Connecticut Academy of PAs for ten years, including President from 2024–2025. Through her involvement with the Academy, she has advocated for and supported her PA colleagues while contributing to the advancement of the profession in Connecticut.
