Griffin Health Physician Tests Positive For Coronavirus

DERBY, CT —A Griffin Health community-based physician who is a member of the medical staff tested positive for the new coronavirus, according to a statement from the organization.

"This physician was not in his office and did not see patients in the 24-hour period prior to exhibiting symptoms; therefore, public health officials determined that no action is needed with regard to the physician’s patients or office staff at this time. The physician is being quarantined consistent with health officials’ recommendations," Griffin Health said in a statement.
