Height Reduced of Planned Derby Tower
The mixed-use building is slated to be at Plaza on the Green.

DERBY, CT — A planned mixed-use tower at the Plaza on the Green site in Derby on Elizabeth Street reportedly has been reduced from 19 stories tall to eight stories, but the project's overall density has not been scaled back.
The proposed $50 million, transit-oriented development, proposed by O’Riordan Migani Architects of Seymour, would hold 144 hotel rooms, 90 apartments and restaurants and retail shops, writes the Connecticut Post.
Last week, Joseph Migani made a preliminary presention of the proposal to the Derby Planning and Zoning Commission, and said for about $10 million or more, his firm would include renovating the vacant Sterling Opera House and the parking garage downtown that needs repair.
