Help Support a Teen through Mentoring!
Adult volunteers are needed to provide mentoring support to teens in your community .
Consider being a mentor to support local youth in your community!
Family ReEntry provides mentoring to youth who are at-risk and in need of a positive support; someone they can build a relationship with who can also serve as a role model. Our mentoring program is community based where mentor visits happen outside of school, with a flexible schedule: afternoons, early evenings &/or weekends. The commitment is 1-2 hours per week over the course of one year. Adults age 20 and older are eligible to apply. There is an application and background screening process, and once matched, our staff provide ongoing support throughout the length of the mentoring relationship.
Currently, we are seeking a mentor for “Steve”, a teen from Shelton
“Steve” is a 13-year-old Caucasian male who is in the 7th grade. He has had struggled with behavior problems at school, however, enjoys learning social studies and connecting with friends. He enjoys playing football (his favorite NFL team is the Steelers), riding his bike, exercising & lifting weights, fishing, hiking, go-karting, and also listening to hip-hop music.
