Here's How Shelton Pay-To-Participate Will Work
High school athletes in some sports will have to pay as much as $300 to participate.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton Public Schools released more details about how its pay to participate fees will work for students who want to take part in after school sports or other activities.
Shelton High School sports with officials including football, soccer, swimming, volleyball, basketball, field hockey, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse and softball will have a $300 fee.
High school sports without officials will cost $225. That includes cross country, indoor track, golf, tennis, outdoor track & field, cheerleading. To sign up for Shelton and Derby breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Performing arts and co-curricular activities with a paid advisor will come with a $100 fee. That includes SHS Band, SHS Color Guard, SHS Robotics Club, SHS Drama Club (Spring Musical Leads), SIS Jazz Band.
Shelton Intermediate School sports with officials will cost $250 and intermediate sports without officials will cost $175.

Students receiving free meals will be charged 50 percent of the regular fee and those receiving reduced meals will be charged 75 percent of the regular fee.
There is a $600 family cap with a $300 cap for those receiving free meals and $450 for those receiving reduced meals.
Payment is due after try outs and before the first contest.
