Historic Richard Mansfield House To Move Locations In Ansonia
Once acquired by the Derby Historical Society, the house reportedly will be moved from Jewett Street to Elm Street.

DERBY, CT — The Derby Historical Society has obtained permission to move the historic Richard Mansfield House from Jewett Street to Elm Street in Ansonia, wrote the Connecticut Post.
The Ansonia Planning and Zoning Commission recently approved the move, but before that can happen, the historical society must purchase the house.
Negotiations between the historical society and the current owners of the house are ongoing.

Once it is bought, the plan is to move the house next to the historic David Humphreys House, which is where the historical society is located.
Built around 1700, the Mansfield home housed the Rev. Mansfield, who was a local Episcopal church rector for more than 70 years, according to Wikipedia.
