Hit-and-Run Involving Bicyclist Still Under Investigation
A Milford bicyclist was seriously injured by a vehicle that allegedly fled the scene over the Derby-Shelton bridge.
Police have released a second surveillance image of the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident in Shelton that left a Milford bicyclist seriously injured.
Police began receiving 911 calls reporting an accident with injuries at the intersection of Howe Avenue and Bridge Street.
The bicyclist, a 49-year-old Milford resident was taken to the hospital to be evaluated for injuries sustained in the accident, police said. The bicyclist is still being treated at the hospital for the injuries sustained in the accident.

According to police, witnesses reported that the bicyclist was struck by a black vehicle traveling south on Howe Ave. Witnesses also told police that the vehicle fled the scene over the Derby Shelton Bridge.
