Hops Co. Proposed Expansion Irritates Neighbors

Neighbors don't want to allow the popular beer garden to expand due to parking and other issues.

DERBY, CT — The popular Hops Co. beer garden is looking to expand, but many neighbors are concerned that parking problems would also grow.

The Planning and Zoning commission will vote in two weeks on whether to allow the business to expand, according to the Connecticut Post. It is in a non-conforming location on Sodom Lane that is near single-family homes.

Neighbors have complained about crowded parking on streets, garbage and increased traffic.
