House Fire Extinguished In Shelton Sunday

Two occupants were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton firefighters extinguished a house fire on Hawley Road early Sunday morning. Around 30 firefighters responded to the blaze around 2:40 a.m.

Two occupants were able to get out of the home before firefighters arrived, according to the Shelton Fire Department. They were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Most of the fire came from the home's basement, but some of it extended into the first floor.
