How Shelton-Derby Voted In Tuesday's CT Primary Elections

SHELTON-DERBY, CT — Gov. Ned Lamont won the support of Democratic primary voters in both Shelton and Derby Tuesday as he secured his party's nomination for a third term.

In Shelton, Lamont received 885 votes, or 65.46 percent, while challenger Josh Elliott received 467 votes, or 34.54 percent, according to unofficial results.

In Derby, Lamont received 274 votes, or 66.67 percent, compared with 137 votes, or 33.33 percent, for Elliott.

Lamont also prevailed statewide, defeating Elliott for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination. He will face Republican Ryan Fazio in the November general election.

Shelton voters also weighed in on the Republican primary for Connecticut's 4th Congressional District, where Michael Ted Goldstein defeated Daniel Miressi for the chance to challenge Democratic U.S. Rep. Jim Himes.

Goldstein received 255 votes, or 77.04 percent, in Shelton, while Miressi received 76 votes, or 22.96 percent.

Goldstein will face Himes in November.
