It's Safe to Go Back into the Water at Shelton's Indian Wells State Park

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has reopened the park's swimming area.

The swimming area in Indian Wells State Park in Shelton was reopened for swimming on Wednesday, according to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Water samples were collected Tuesday and indicated the water was safe for swimming. The park’s beach was closed earlier this week when water quality tests by DEEP showed the area is unsafe for swimming
