"Congratulations to Terry and the entire Jones Family for all they've done for our great state of Connecticut," Kelly said in a news release. "As said by founder Philip James Jones, 'Be good to the land, and the land will be good to you.' I firmly believe this saying not only applies to the land but that by being good to others, they will also be good to you. The Jones family is a great example of this sentiment. The General Assembly is proud to have the Jones Family Farm in Connecticut and is grateful to Terry Jones for working with each of us to help inform what we are doing as legislators to benefit others throughout the state."
Jones said he and his family were honored to receive the award.
