July 4th Fireworks 2023 Around Shelton-Derby

SHELTON-DERBY, CT — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Shelton and Derby for 2023.

What: 2023 Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration

Where: Shelton

When: June 30

Mark your calendars! The 2023 Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration will be held on Friday, June 30, with a rain date of Sunday, July 2. Darik and the Funbags will highlight the concert before the fireworks.

What: Derby Celebration Of Independence Day

Where: Derby Green, Elizabeth Street

When: July 4

Highlights include an essay contest awards ceremony, a preamble by the Magnificent Brass, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, an awards presentation, a colonial celebration picnic lunch, a spinning and weaving demo and more.

What: Trumbull Day 2023 Fireworks

Where: the field behind Hillcrest Middle School

When: July 1

Trumbull Day is scheduled to take place June 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and July 1 from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the field behind Hillcrest Middle School, with fireworks taking place after dusk. Admission to the grounds is free.

According to First Selectman Vicki Tesoro, the Stewart Amusement Company will supply exciting and fun rides for all ages and fifteen food trucks will be in attendance. There will also be live music, libations and spectacular fireworks from Pyrotecnico Fireworks, Inc. for attendees to enjoy.
