Lauretti To Petition For Republican Primary
He'll have to collect thousands of signatures to get on the ballot in August.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti announced he plans to petition his way onto the Republican primary ballot in August. He will have to come up with about 9,000 signatures from registered Republicans to make it on the ballot.
Self-funded candidates Bob Stefanowski and David Stemerman decided to skip the convention process and instead collect signatures.
Lauretti told the Connecticut Post that he always considered going the signature route. He got 11 percent of the delegate votes over the convention weekend.
