Local Group Fights Towne Center Shelton Project
The group is gathering funds for legal fees and other efforts to oppose the large project.

SHELTON, CT — A local group called Save Our Shelton has formed to oppose the proposed Towne Center at Shelter Ridge project.
The group gathered enough signatures to force an Inland Wetlands public hearing on the project, according to the Connecticut Post. They are also urging people to vote against Planning and Zoning commissioners that support the project.
The project includes 123 acres and a million square feet of retail, office and residential space. To sign up for Shelton and Derby breaking news alerts and more, click here.
