Lockout Ordered at Ansonia Schools following Ominous Social Media Post
Police were at the district's four schools Monday afternoon.

ANSONIA, CT - Local police responded to Ansonia's four public schools Monday afternoon following an ominous post on the "After School" app, according to officials.
Officers assisted with dismissals after school, and all after-school activities were cancelled, reports the New Haven Register, meaning there was a "lockout." Under such situations, those in the buildings are ordered to leave and no one is allowed back inside until authorities give the OK.
The nature of the post was not disclosed but it was regarding the high school, according to officials.
