Man Stabbed With Scissors During Dispute, Hospitalized: Shelton Police

A man is accused of stabbing another man with a pair of kitchen scissors during a dispute early Monday morning in Shelton, police said.

SHELTON, CT — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed with kitchen scissors during a dispute early Monday morning in Shelton, according to police.

Alex Chamoro, 48, of Shelton, was arrested in connection with the incident, according to police.

Police said the arrest stems from a dispute Chamoro had with a female victim and her 34-year-old son around 2 a.m. in their apartment on Howe Avenue.

Chamoro is accused of stabbing the man with a pair of kitchen scissors during the dispute, according to police.

Police said the woman was also injured during the dispute and was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The man was taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening, according to police.

Chamoro was arrested on two counts of first-degree assault, disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening. He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
