Shelton And Stratford Residents Injured In Route 15 Tree vs. Vehicle Crash: Update
The crash occurred Thursday morning between Derby and Orange, and a portion of the thruway was temporarily closed.

DERBY, CT — Two people with A&S Mechanical in Shelton have been identified by state police as the two people injured Thursday morning on Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) when a tree snapped by heavy winds fell on their truck near exit 58 between Derby and Orange.
Shelton resident Dominic Andreozzi, the driver, and Stratford resident Christopher H. Scofield both suffered serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle. Both were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital, but their current conditions were not immediately available.
The accident occurred southbound near exit 58, which led to state police temporarily shutting down the thruway in the area. Just before noon, state police announced on Twitter that lanes had been reopened as clean up work continued into the afternoon.
