Mieczyslaw Krzywdzinski - Obituary

Beloved Husband, father, Grandfather - Engineer & Machinist

Mieczyslaw Krzywdzinski, age 75, beloved husband of Danuta Wronska Krzywdzinski of Derby, entered into rest on March 29, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, with his family by his side. Born in Zabrze, Poland on October 3, 1949, he was the son of the late Stanislaw and Wiktoria Starzec Krzywdzinski. Mr. Krzywdzinski was raised in Zabrze, Poland and studied engineering and mechanical design at the local university. His engineering designs brought many innovations to the equipment of the coal mining industry, and he was awarded with a Presidential Citation from the President of Poland. He immigrated to the United States in 1993 and became a naturalized U.S. Citizen in 2002. Mr. Krzywdzinski continued his career in manufacturing as a project manager and CNC machine operator, until the time of his retirement in 2016. He was a Communicant of St. Michael Church, Derby and was an avid World Cup Soccer fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, supporting his granddaughter in all her athletic and academic endeavors.

In addition to his wife of 49 years, he is survived by his devoted son, Radoslaw Krzywdzinski and his wife, Karolina Wojteczko of Derby and his cherished granddaughter Victoria Sofia Krzywdzinski of Derby. He was predeceased by a brother, Jozef Krzywdzinski.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial, Meeting Directly at Church, will be celebrated at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 3, 2025 in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Avenue, Derby. Interment will take place in St. Brother Albert Cemetery, Kolbuszowa, Poland. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the “Roof Project” of St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Avenue, Derby, CT 06418. Online condolences may be made at www.wakeleememorial.com.
