Minds in Motion is an
afternoon of fun workshops which engage students with hands-on,
fast-paced, interactive, high-interest workshops on topics not available in the
traditional classroom. Topics may include
- How the Elephant got his Trunk?
- How to build a LEGO skyscraper?
- How to create movie sound effects?
- How to build a catapult?
- How to recycle trash into art?
- How to brew a magical potion straight from Hogwarts?
In addition, parents
attend special-interest workshops on important topics related to raising high
potential children, interact with informative vendors, receive free literature,
and interact with other parents.
Minds in Motion is put
on by the Connecticut Association for the Gifted (CAG) and Monroe's
Organized Voters for Education (MOVE) to benefit students in Kindergarten
through 8th grade.
