More Than 2,600 Shelton Homes Still Powerless
Power may not be fully restored until the end of Saturday.

SHELTON, CT — More than 2,600 Shelton homes or 14 percent of the city are still without power as of Friday afternoon.
Officials posted an update on the city of Shelton website which reads:
"Since Tropical Storm Isais hit on Tuesday, United Illuminating and City personnel have been working on de-energizing and clearing roads. Due to the extensive damage caused by the storm, the level of repairs are significant.

"As of 8/6/20, repairs and restoration have started in the City. U.I. has informed us that the majority of residents will be restored Saturday night. At the height of the event, approx. 12,000 city businesses and residents were without power.
As of 12 PM today, the number restored is approx. 7,200. Please go to www.uinet.com and click Outages to look at the changes of outage numbers for Shelton and the region. As a reminder, cable and phone lines are separate from U.I. and should be contacted by the resident. For updates, please check back on our website."
