Naugatuck Valley Health District Achieves National Accreditation

The accreditation process helps the organization respond to the needs of the community.

The Naugatuck Valley Health District has been awarded national accreditation.

The recognition is from the Public Health Accreditation Board, according to the Shelton Herald.

Karen Spargo, director of health for the district, said they were pleased to be recognized for achieving national standards that promote improvement.

“The accreditation process helps to ensure that the programs and services we provide are as responsive as possible to the needs of our community,” she was quoted in the Herald as saying.

The district serves residents of Shelton, Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Seymour and Naugatuck.
