Naugatuck Woman Hit by vehicle in Shelton, Seriously Injured: Police

The hit-and-run incident occurred Saturday night on Howe Avenue.

SHELTON, CT — A 32-year-old Naugatuck woman suffered serious injuries Saturday night when she was struck by a vehicle on Howe Avenue in Shelton, and police are asking for the public's help to find the driver who fled the scene.

The accident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. near 441 Howe Ave. when Lisa Taylor was struck by a vehicle that was traveling southbound. Shelton EMS, police and fire personnel all responded to the scene after several people called 911 to report it.

Taylor was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with serious injuries, and the Shelton Police Department Accident reconstruction team is currently investigating the accident.

"Any witnesses or individuals with information regarding the accident can contact the Shelton Police Department Traffic Division at (203) 924-1544 Ext. 4420," wrote police in a statement.
