A Derby resident recently purchased a winning ticket at a nearby business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

DERBY, CT — A Derby resident is nearly $150,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at a nearby business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

On Thursday, the resident purchased a winning "FAST PLAY - $5 STACKS OF CA$H PROGRESSIVE" ticket at Barnum Discount Liquor in Stratford and won $149,183, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
