DERBY, CT – One business that is booming in Connecticut is craft beer breweries and the latest one to open is smack in the middle of Derby. On Wednesday, Bad Sons Beer Co., will have a “soft” opening at its Roosevelt Drive location, according to Mike Student, who described himself as “brand commander.” Student said the brewery will occupy about half the space in the 22,000-square-foot building at 251 Roosevelt Drive.

Student said on Monday that if the soft opening goes well “we will announce official opening shortly after.”
Student added: “We believe the Valley is an underserved market for craft beer.”

“Being located directly on Route 34 provides a tremendous amount of daily traffic,” Student said, stating 30,000-plus car a day travel that busy road.
