New Details In Shelton Firefighter Child Porn Investigation

SHELTON, CT — Additional details have been released after a Shelton volunteer firefighter already charged with arson was additionally charged with possession of child pornography.

Police seized William Tortora's phone as part of their arson investigation and found 66 suspected child pornography images, according to the Connecticut Post. Seven of the images and a video are suspected to involve children under the age of 16, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The Yale Sex Abuse Clinic analyzed the photos and determined through pubertal development the approximate ages in some of the material. Some of the children may be as young as 10-years-old.
