<p>The next superintendent of Shelton's schools has been chosen and will begin Jan. 1.</p><p><a href="http://www.ctpost.com/news/article/Clouet-chosen-as-Shelton-superintendent-6525239.php" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">According to an article in the Connecticut Post</a>, Christopher Clouet, formerly head of the Tarrytown (NY) Union Free School District, will replace Freeman Burr, who resigned at the end of the 2014-15 school year.</p><p>Clouet, <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/chrisclouet" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">according to his LinkedIn account</a>, is a consultant for BOCES of Southern Westchester. </p><p>He was the superintendent in Tarrytown form July 2013 to June 2015. <p>In the event of rain, the rain date will be Sunday, June 7, 2026.The popular community event will feature a wide array of classic, antique, custom, and exotic cars all on display in the heart of Greenwich. </p>
<p>The car show is free for spectators and open to the public.The Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund invites car owners to sign up for pre-registration for $20 per vehicle by June 4.<br><a href="https://www.gpdscholarshipfund.org/gpdsf-car-show/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><u>https://www.gpdscholarshipfund.org/gpdsf-car-show/</u></a></p>

Automobile dealership opportunities begin at $500, which includes on-site participation and the opportunity to display a vehicle. <p>The Trumbull Library continues its <em>Past, Present, and Pages</em> America 250 series with a fascinating look at one of Connecticut's most influential artists. John Trumbull is best known for creating the iconic images that shaped how generations of Americans have imagined the Revolutionary era and the nation's founders, including his famous paintings of the Declaration of Independence and other pivotal moments in American history.</p>
<p>Presented by Connecticut State Historian Emeritus Walter W. Woodward, this richly illustrated lecture explores Trumbull's lifelong struggle to gain recognition for his art at a time when artists were rarely held in high regard. Woodward also examines the complicated relationship between Trumbull and his father, Connecticut Governor Jonathan Trumbull, revealing a compelling Connecticut family story behind some of America's most enduring images.</p>

<p>Wheeler-Brown’s book explores the history of Delftware ceramics, focusing on the often-overlooked roles of women as makers, patrons, and collectors, from 17th-century factory owners like&nbsp;<strong>Barbara Rotteveel</strong>&nbsp;to <strong>Gilded Age</strong> collectors like&nbsp;<strong>Mrs. J. Pierpont Morgan</strong>. A must for devotees of decorative arts and the history of material culture. </p>

<p>Founding Genevieve Wheeler Decorative Art Advisory in 2003, Genevieve comes to the advisory business with more than 12 years of experience in the auction world, strong generalist knowledge and a wide range of contacts in American, European and Asian decorative and fine arts.</p>
<p>Genevieve began her career with Christie’s in 1992 with the European Decorative Arts Department after working as an intern at The Phillips Collection, Washington D.C. in 1990. She was then asked to run Overseas Consignments at Christie’s Park Avenue, a department that handled inquiries for European based auctions including Indian and Southeast Asian art, Islamic Art, Miniatures, Textiles and Cameras. In 1995 Genevieve became the New York contact for sales of Fabergé and Russian Silver at Christie’s Park Avenue and most recently was as a specialist in Fine Musical Instruments at Christie’s Rockefeller Center from 1998 to 2003.</p>
<p>While at Christie’s, she was involved with important sales such as ‘The Pine Cone Egg’ by Carl Fabergé and ‘The Taft’ Stradivari which fetched the auction record for an instrument sold in the United States. She has also been an appraiser on the PBS production ‘The Antiques Roadshow’.</p>
<p>A supporter of several fine and decorative art related institutions, Genevieve has served on the Board of the National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of New York, served as a member of the Young Fellows Steering Committee of the Frick Collection from 1995 to 2005 and co-Chaired the Winter Antiques Show Young Collector’s Night, New York in 2004, 2005, and 2006.</p>
<p>Genevieve currently advises several organizations including <a href="https://www.dumbartonhouse.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Dumbarton House</a>, a Federal period house museum in Georgetown, as a board member as well as for <a href="https://www.thewintershow.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Winter Show</a> as a vice-chair of Opening Night and as co-founder of The Winter Show Luncheon.</p><p><strong>About The Jay Heritage Center</strong></p>
<p>The nonprofit Jay Heritage Center (JHC) is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and revitalizing a place that has meaning for all Americans: The Jay Estate.
